In This Week's PeopleBig news! I just found out that JANE SLAYRE is going to be in the People Magazine that hits newsstands tomorrow, the Most Beautiful People double issue with Sandra Bullock
and her new baby on the cover! No, Jane isn't one of the Most Beautiful People-- she would shy from such an honor. But
she is a Great Read. Check it out! And big congratulations to Sandra Bullock. That is one beautiful baby. :)
In other news, I had a fabulous time filming the Literati Scene with Smoki Bacon, Dick Concannon, and Joanna Datillo
in Boston on Monday. I'll update you with air dates when it makes the schedule. We had fun discussing the correct pronunciation
of St. John Rivers, among other things. If you're in or around Boston, you can find signed copies of Jane Slayre
at Borders on Newbury Street (with special thanks to the staff there and my fabulous driver, Bill, for making the stop). First three chapters free to read or download at Janeslayre.com. You can listen to an audio clip from the Blackstone Audio version here (So fun! Well done, Rosalyn Landor!) Also at janeslayre.com, check out trailers, games, extras, and author information. Follow me on Facebook or Twitter. Thank you for all of your reviews on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and your favorite bookstore sites. Much appreciated! Cheers! Sherri

Happy Jane Slayre Week! Today's the day everyone runs out and buys Jane Slayre hot off the presses! Right? Please do! Gallery Books has put together a fun new website to celebrate Jane's release, with a survey, games, videos, character quotes, desktop wallpapers (very cool), information
about the authors (ahem, that's me, -- and Charlotte Bronte, of course) and a very long excerpt for your enjoyment. Go poke around. So much fun. I love it. In preparation for Jane Slayre's UK release, The UK's Telegraph and Argus, Charlotte's hometown paper, asks What Would Charlotte Think? And goes out to get expert answers. Excellent. Don't miss the book Library Journal has "enthusiastically recommended for all." And Publisher's
Weekly calls "highly amusing." I'm getting great reviews, but it's your opinion that counts. Don't forget
to write and let me know how you felt about Jane Slayre, or leave a review at your favorite book site. I love hearing from you. Thank you for your support! Sherri

Publishers Weekly/Appearances/Video InterviewMy video interview is available at the Simon & Schuster site and on Youtube. I'll be appearing today at Bitten By Books. They gave Jane Slayre one of my favorite reviews. "Jane Slayre is still serious and quiet — until she whips out her collection of Egyptian daggers and goes Buffy
on your vampire ass." Love it! Pop in and say hi!
Publishers Weekly gave JANE SLAYRE a glowing review on 4/12. While Jane herself remains much the same, the supernatural additions
prove highly amusing, turning the gothic elements of the original up to eleven while preserving the story's post-Victorian
coming-of-age conventions. Despite her whimsical and irreverent modifications, Erwin displays great affection for Brontë
and her characters; the undeniable spark between Erwin's Jane and Rochester is made all the more delightful by Jane's
plucky fearlessness in the face of evil. With the possible exception of purists, fans of Jane Eyre will find much to love,
with moments of laugh-out-loud hilarity; horror fans unfamiliar with the original will also be pleased, though they'll
miss out on some of the comic nuance. Tomorrow's the big day! Get ready to run out and pick up JANE SLAYRE at a bookstore near you, or online. Read an excerpt here.
