NAUGHTY OR NICE, coming soon! Really soon! I just got my author copies, which means stores are stocking up and it will soon be on the
shelves. I'm very excited. This one comes out in time for my birthday. Rush out and buy Naughty
or Nice on October 8th and consider it your little gift to yourself, and to me. We can celebrate together. Woo-hoo! Thanks!

Happy weekend! On July 30, I was signing books at the Romance Writers of America's Literacy Booksigning event in San Francisco when I
got the call from home that my grandmother had suffered a stroke. It was devastating news. I couldn't get home fast enough.
But Grandma rallied. Her speech came back, and she started walking around when she was still in the hospital. At a nursing
home facility, she continued to thrive (thanks to the remarkable staff, like her therapist Quinn).
My grandparents
are so dear to me. I'm very happy that my grandmother is actually going home this weekend. What a relief
for her, and for my grandfather who has been worried and weary going back and forth to visit. Thank you for
all the well wishes. It should be a good weekend for the Erwins. I dedicated Naughty or Nice to my grandparents.
It comes out on their 66th anniversary.

An Arresting DevelopmentYes, the rumors are true! Have you seen the paparazzi photos? So embarrassing.
Today, I was pulled
over by a police officer in Enfield, CT. What shameless celebrity behavior was I indulging in? DUI? (Never! NO). Speeding?
Harrassing innocent bystanders by shouting out the car window "Don't you know who I am?" No. I'm afraid
the truth is far less intriguing. I forgot to renew my registration, so he wanted to let me know (and hand me a ticket, thanks
officer!). It was a first for me. I've never been stopped by a cop, until today.
Let this be a lesson
to me. Never let writing deadlines interfere with real world responsibilities.

House is back! Hooray for Fall TV! I missed House. And Bones. And Survivor (Gabon!).
And football! Looking forward to another great Patriots season, even without Tom Brady (get well, Tom). I still have
my favorite Tedy Bruschi on the field. Yay!
